  • THERE ARE SEVERAL WAYS TO GET INVOLVED
    WHERE THE MONEY GOES

    AS A PARCHER

    Wine

You can sign up to become a “Parcher” quickly and easily. Just take a look at our “distillation process” and decide what kind of “Parcher” you are. Once you have decided, either make a one off donation, or download the sponsor form and calendar, and off you go!

    SCHOOLS

    Parch Pass

You can take part as individual students, whole classes or just the teachers. Kids can get sponsored to give up fizzy drinks, and teachers can get sponsored to give up alcohol. Just decide which route you want to take, and sign up!

    PARCH PASS

    Parch Pass

If you are worried that you won’t be able to abstain for the whole month due to a special event, eg. Birthday, wedding, St Patrick’s day, then don’t worry! For a one off donation of £5 (or £2 for kids) you can buy a pass that will enable you to drink on the date of your choice.

Kids! You too can take part in Parch

    COMMUNITY OR CHURCH GROUP

    Community groups

Each year Parch coincides with Lent. So if you were thinking of giving something up for Lent, then this is your perfect opportunity. Simply join together with some of your fellow church goers /community friends/ club members, and encourage each other to abstain from alcohol for the month of March. Simply download the sponsor form and away you go.

    UNIVERSITIES

    Morter board

University is often seen as a place of learning, but mainly drinking! Why not break the mould and encourage your friends and tutors to participate in “Parch”. You could challenge different halls, rival universities, sports teams and lecturers to participate, and see who can last the longest and raise the most money. You can order a free poster pack online and promote Parch in your students union, halls of residence. You can also raise awareness of the campaign using email and the university Intranet.

    DONATE

Your donation will go directly to providing safe drinking water to the students at the Andrew Grene High School, Cite Soleil Haiti and to the women enrolled on our numeracy and literacy program at our microfinance branch in Aquin (south of the island). Each student requires 3 bags of clean drinking water every day to stay fully hydrated, enabling them to concentrate and provide proper hydration. Each bag of water costs approximately 3p, so for just 9p per day each child can be safely catered for.
